Preserving Barrier Offshore Ecosystems

Coral deep sea environments are one of the most well-known and wealthiest bio-diversity in the world, but so delicate. Now these coral deep sea environments in Philippines was only about 30% are still in excellent. According to a study performed by CORE MAP (Coral Offshore Recovery and Control System or System Barrier Offshore Recovery and Management), determined that the situation of coral coral reefs of Philippines that continues to be "very good" only 6.1% and the position of "good" only 22.68% . Broken in a state of rest (31.46%) and damaged (39.76%).



Damage to coral coral reefs is mostly due to human activity include sport fishing with toxins and weapons, coral, sedimentation due to signing and city development and over sport fishing. In addition, harm to coral coral reefs due to around the world leading to beach acidification and temperatures rising heat range conditions.
